Day 01: Apt Athens – Athens
Welcome in Greece! The Acropolis hill, so called the “Sacred Rock” of Athens, is the most important site of the city.
Overnight in Athens.
Day 02: Athens – Kalambaka
Transfer to Kalambaka. Meteora is actually a religious place with many Byzantine churches and Monasteries.
Explore the great stories of construction ingenuity and survival skills of the local people.
Overnight in Kalambaka.
Day 03: Kalambaka – Ohrid
Drive to Bitola. Visit of Heraklea.
Philip II of Macedon founded it as Heraclea Lyncestis in the middle of the 4th century BC.
Continue to Ohrid. Ohrid is classified as a UNESCO’s World Cultural Heritage site. Sightseeing tour includes the most eminent medieval monuments in Macedonia with magnificent Byzantine fresco paintings.
Overnight in Ohrid.
Day 04: Ohrid – Tirana – Shkodra
Transfer to Tirana. We shall explore the capital city of Albania, including some of the historical highlights in the city center.
Overnight in Tirana.
Day 05: Tirana – Shkodra – Budva – Kotor
Transfer to Shkodra. During its long history, the city has played important role in Albanian culture and history. Shkodra is also the center of Albanian Catholicism as well as a fine example of tolerance between religions.
Transfer to Budva, stop for panoramic tour of the Old town of Budva.
Kotor is a beautiful walled medieval city of twisting, pink-paved streets, markets and architecture reflecting Byzantine to Venetian influences.
Overnight in Kotor.
Day 06: Kotor – Dubrovnik
Transfer to Dubrovnik. Start with the walking tour of Old Town Dubrovnik.
The ‘Pearl of the Adriatic’, situated on the Dalmatian coast, became an important Mediterranean Sea power from the 13th century onward. Protected by UNESCO.
Overnight in Dubrovnik.
Day 07: Dubrovnik – Blagaj – Mostar
Transfer to Mostar with stop en route to Blagaj for visit and lunch.
Blagaj is a place with the largest karst spring in Europe, with a beautiful Dervish Tekke – today’s, attractive monument.
Arriving to Mostar for sightseeing (the old bridge, mosques, old streets of Mostar, museum, etc.).
Overnight in Mostar.
Day 08: Mostar – Sarajevo
Sarajevo is one of the most oriental and culturally diverse cities in Europe, and had spent over 300 years under Turkish rule until the Austro-Hungarians arrived in the late nineteenth century.
Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 09: Sarajevo
Visit the Tunnel of Hope. The tour begins with a short ride to the War Tunnel where you will be introduced to the origins of the Balkans conflict, for gaining the better understanding of the Aggression of BiH and the Sarajevo Siege.
Overnight in Sarajevo.
Day 10: Sarajevo – Travnik – Bihac
Travnik is situated in the valley of the Lasva River and bordered by Vlasic Mountain to the north and Mount Vilenica to the south.
Bihac is a charming little town centered on the banks of the Una River. It is more than worth a visit to Bihac or any of the towns that live off these emerald waters.
Overnight in Bihac.
Day 11: Bihac – Plivitce Lake – Zagreb
Visit Plitvice Lakes. Embraced by high wooded mountains, one beneath another lie sixteen beautiful lakes of crystal blue-green water.
Overnight in Zagreb.
Day 12: Zagreb – Zagreb Apt
Zagreb has grown out of the two medieval settlements, Kaptol and Gradec that for centuries developed on neighboring hills.
Transfer to Zagreb Airport.
End of Service.
